3/21/2017 0 Comments ITG Regional Event and Other NewsIf you play trumpet at any level, or just have an interest in seeing and hearing internationally renowned trumpeters, you need to come check out the ITG Regional Event this weekend. The event is FREE and will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at the University of Indianapolis in the Christel DeHaan Fine Arts Center from 9 am to 4 pm. Discount tickets to hear the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra perform Bruckner's Symphony No. 7 at 7:30 p.m will also be available. More information on the event, including how to register for FREE through Eventbrite, can be found on here. You do not want to miss the chance to see and hear Ron Romm - founding member of the world-renowned Canadian Brass - and other top notch musicians talk about their experiences, especially at a FREE (have I mentioned that yet?) event.
In other news, my masterclasses held at Pendleton High School on March 8th was a success. I hope to put up a blog post soon about what we discussed about developing appropriate practice habits. If you have questions about how to structure your practice sessions, or how to practice specific musical skills, please leave a comment below! Finally, if you follow me on Facebook or Instagram, you probably saw that I recorded for an independent short film titled "Sea-Tectives" March 2nd. It was a great experience, and Josh Kattner of Pure Note LLC did a fantastic job composing the score and leading our session. If you get a chance, check out some of his other compositions on Soundcloud. If you ever need to commission a score for a film, recital, or project, definitely contact Josh. I'll be sure to post the date and location of the film premier (happening in Muncie, IN sometime later this Spring) when it becomes available.
